Public Sector Staff (Talents) (PE1423)

Item 2 is consideration of petition PE1423, in the name of Gordon Hall, on harnessing the undoubted talent of public sector staff. I think that the issues that are raised in the petition have been gone over in some depth in our public service reform inquiry—in particular, our work on strand 3. We are obviously keen to continue to harness that talent and, indeed, it will be a focus in everything that we do.

I propose, therefore, that we close the petition. Are we agreed?
