Decision on Taking Business in Private

Good morning and welcome to the 17th meeting in 2014 of the Local Government and Regeneration Committee. I ask everyone present to switch off mobile phones and other electronic equipment, as they affect the broadcasting system. Some committee members might consult tablets during the meeting—that is because we provide meeting papers in a digital format.

Our first item of business is to consider whether to take in private, at future meetings, the discussion of our approach to the Air Weapons and Licensing (Scotland) Bill, forthcoming legislation on community empowerment and our scrutiny of the Scottish Government’s 2015-16 draft budget. Do members agree to take those items in private?
