Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to this meeting of the Public Petitions Committee. As always, I ask everyone to switch off their mobile phones, as they interfere with our sound system. We have received apologies from Adam Ingram, and Jim Eadie is attending as his substitute. We have also received apologies from Jackson Carlaw, who is unwell, unfortunately. I hope that he has a swift return. I also pass on my apologies because, unfortunately, at 10.30, I have to attend another meeting to do with my member’s bill. Chic Brodie, once he has arrived, will chair the meeting at that point. I apologise to the committee and the witnesses that I will not be here for the second tranche of evidence, but I will come back to the committee as quickly as I can.
