Decisions on Taking Business in Private

Good morning. I welcome everyone to the 13th meeting in 2008 of the Local Government and Communities Committee. I remind everyone to switch off mobile phones and BlackBerrys, as a recent e-mail has confirmed that the interference during a previous meeting was due to someone's gizmo being live.

Under agenda item 1, the committee is invited to agree to take items 3 and 4 in private. Item 3 is consideration of a draft report of the summary of evidence on the committee's work on the elections 2007. Discussions on the contents of draft reports are normally held in private. Are we agreed to take item 3 in private?

Members indicated agreement.

I also ask members to agree to take all future discussions of that draft report in private. Is that agreed?

Agenda item 4 is consideration of a draft of the committee's annual report. As previously mentioned, discussions on draft reports are normally held in private. Are we agreed to take item 4 in private?
