Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning)
(East Coast) (Scotland) Order 2005
(SSI 2005/498)
Item 3 is subordinate legislation. I apologise to the Deputy Minister for Health and Community Care for the delay in bringing him in; he will understand the reason for that.
Indeed.
We are asked to consider three affirmative instruments relating to amnesic and paralytic shellfish poisoning. The minister is accompanied by Chester Wood.
I have a question about the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning) (Orkney) (Scotland) Order 2005 (SSI 2005/506). I notice that the notes on the purpose of the order refer to amnesic shellfish poisoning. I presume that that is a misprint.
Yes. I apologise.
That answers my question.
Does any member wish to debate the orders?
No.
Does any member object to a single question being put on the motions?
No.
Motions moved,
That the Health Committee recommends that the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (West Coast) (No. 12) (Scotland) Order 2005 (SSI 2005/497) be approved.
That the Health Committee recommends that the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning) (Orkney) (Scotland) Order 2005 (SSI 2005/506) be approved.
That the Health Committee recommends that the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (East Coast) (Scotland) Order 2005 (SSI 2005/498) be approved.—[Lewis Macdonald.]
Motions agreed to.
That is the end of the minister's onerous duties and concludes our public business.
Meeting continued in private until 16:13.
