Under agenda item 2, we are considering four instruments. An issue has been raised on the following instruments.

Police Service of Scotland (Senior Officers) (Conduct) Amendment Regulations 2026 (SSI 2026/277)
The committee asked the Scottish Government about an issue that arises in both of the instruments at regulation 8, which is on suspension. The substitution of “at least one of” for “following” appears to leave a misplaced “the” in the sentence.
In its response, the Scottish Government accepted that there is a drafting error and proposes to correct the wording at the next suitable legislative opportunity.
Following consideration of the correspondence, does the committee wish to draw the instruments to the attention of the Parliament, on the general reporting ground, in respect of the drafting error in regulation 8?

Given that the error is relatively minor, especially in the context of long instruments, is the committee content that the Scottish Government proposes to correct the wording at the next suitable legislative opportunity, which it expects will arise next year?
