The focus of the Europe, External Affairs and Culture Committee’s pre-Budget scrutiny 2027-28 will be on funding for culture and heritage, though consideration will also be given to funding for international development and external affairs.

The Committee agreed to seek written evidence from selected organisations representing Scotland's culture, international development, business, economic development and tourism sectors.
The Committee wants to understand what stakeholders think about relevant commitments in the Programme for Government and their views on current priorities and challenges for the 2027-28 Budget.
