Background
The Economy and Fair Work Committee ran an inquiry into proposed Royal Mail service changes.
Members of the Committee wanted to know what businesses and communities think about the proposed service changes, and the impact of recent strikes. The Committee was particularly interested in hearing the views of rural communities.
The Committee invited Royal Mail to give evidence in June 2023. The views of businesses and communities informed that session, and the questions the Committee asked.

As part of the inquiry, the Committee undertook a call for views which closed on 8th June 2023 and received 40 responses in total.
The first meeting with Royal Mail was scheduled for Wednesday 28 June 2023.
