Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2017 [draft]

  1. The Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2017 [draft] were laid before the Parliament on 6 October 2017 and referred to the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee.

  1. The Regulations are subject to affirmative procedure (Rule 10.6). It is for the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee to recommend to the Parliament whether the Regulations should be approved.

  1. At its meeting on the 21 November 2017, the Committee took evidence on the Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2017 [draft] from—

    • Roseanna Cunningham, Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform

    • Andrew Taylor, Air Quality Policy Manager, Scottish Government

  1. Following the evidence session, Roseanna Cunningham moved motion S5M-08384

    That the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee recommends that the Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2017 [draft] be approved.

  1. The motion was agreed to.
