• In relation to this instrument, the Committee is content, in this instance and context, that the period between Royal Assent and commencement of sections 46 and 47 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2025 by this instrument is shorter than the conventional period of two months.

Common Organisation of the Markets in Agricultural Products (Fruit and Vegetables) (Miscellaneous Amendment) (Scotland) Regulations 2026 (SSI 2026/Draft)

• In relation to this instrument, the enabling power in section 7(1) of the Agriculture (retained EU Law and Data) (Scotland) Act 2020 gives the Scottish Government the choice to lay instruments under the affirmative or negative procedure. The Committee is content with the choice of the affirmative procedure for this instrument.
