The Prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation (Scotland) Bill was introduced on 29 October 2004 [Session 2]

This was a Government Bill. Government Bills before September 2012 were known as Executive Bills.



Bill becomes an Act

The Bill was passed on 26 May 2005 and became an Act on 1 July 2005

If the Bill is passed by MSPs, it can then get Royal Assent and become an Act.
