The Scottish Parliament is now dissolved ahead of the election on Thursday 7 May 2026.

During dissolution, there are no MSPs and no parliamentary business can take place.

Title Conditions (Scotland) Bill

The Title Conditions (Scotland) Bill was introduced on 6 June 2002 [Session 1]

This was a Government Bill. Government Bills before September 2012 were known as Executive Bills.


Bill becomes an Act

The Bill was passed on 26 February 2003 and became an Act on 3 April 2003

If the Bill is passed by MSPs, it can then get Royal Assent and become an Act.
