Scottish Local Government (Elections) Bill

The Scottish Local Government (Elections) Bill was introduced on 4 October 2001 [Session 1]

This was a Government Bill. Government Bills before September 2012 were known as Executive Bills.


Bill becomes an Act

The Bill was passed on 20 December 2001 and became an Act on 23 January 2002

If the Bill is passed by MSPs, it can then get Royal Assent and become an Act.
