The Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Bill was introduced on 16 September 2002 [Session 1]
This was a Government Bill. Government Bills before September 2012 were known as Executive Bills.
The Bill was passed on 20 March 2003 and became an Act on 25 April 2003
If the Bill is passed by MSPs, it can then get Royal Assent and become an Act.
