Social landlords have applied below inflation rent increases for 2023/24.In addition to these legislative changes, the Scottish Government has also introduced other measures to support tenants, such as an increase in the Discretionary Housing Payment (DHP)budget.In the longer term, the Scottish Government has also committed to introduce a housing bill as early as possible after the summer recess which will contain some form of longer-term rent control.There was a mixed reaction to the proposals when they were initially introduced.
