North Sea Oil Revenues To ask the Scottish Government what the North Sea oil revenues were for 2016-17, and how this compares to the projections in its 2013 document, “Scotland’s Future”.
The Treasury’s audit has estimated that this year’s departmental spending budgets are at least £15 billion lower in real terms, when compared with 2021 spending review plans.
The situation was even worse when the UK was compared with the leading countries of Korea and Singapore, as it had only 11 per cent and 17 per cent of their respective densities.
To put figures on that, 66 per cent of Scotland’s water environment is already classed as being in good condition, compared with a European average of around 45 per cent and a figure for England of just 16 per cent.
That journey time is already pretty lengthy when compared with other UK and European journeys of the same distance—and, indeed, when compared with the rail journey time between Edinburgh and Perth over a century ago.

To ask the Scottish Government what percentage share of new woodland planted in the UK since 2016-17 has been in planted in Scotland, and what information it has on how this compares with new woodland planted in (a) England and (b) Wales.
