Glasgow Caledonian University Delivers International Social Impact Project

That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) on winning the Ashoka U Innovation Award in celebration of its community partnership working; welcomes the Common Good First digital project, which aims to share the experiences and challenges of communities in Glasgow with projects in South Africa, and which will ultimately be rolled out across Scotland and around the world; notes that the digital platform is a collaboration with colleagues in six South African universities and partner institutions in Spain, Norway, Iceland and Denmark, and is co-funded by the European Commission; understands that GCU is committed to delivering on its common good mission, and welcomes the impact of Scottish Government and EUfunding, which it considers assists groups such as GCU to deliver innovative projects that change lives in Scotland and beyond, helping to support the global impact of the Scottish university sector.
