Glasgow Kelvin Hits a High Note with the Reopening of the Kelvingrove Bandstand

  • Submitted by: Sandra White, Glasgow Kelvin, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 08 May 2014
  • Motion reference: S4M-09995

That the Parliament sees the completion of the Kelvingrove Bandstand to be a fantastic facility for Glasgow Kelvin, the entire city and visitors alike; welcomes news that the first event to be held there will be Glasgow Mela in June 2014; understands that many other events are already organised, which will be an excellent opportunity for the people of Glasgow to experience the refurbished facilities, and notes that the bandstand is part of the Commonwealth Games legacy, which it considers will truly be a lasting legacy for the west end of Glasgow.
