Helensburgh and Lomond Highland Games 2024

That the Parliament commends the organisers of the 14th annual Helensburgh and Lomond Highland Games, which take place in Helensburgh on 1 June 2024; notes that the event will feature a variety of traditional Highland Games competitions such as the sheaf toss, hammer throw, the world-famous caber toss, athletics, including the Royal Scottish Highland Games Association 90m British Championship and 200m Scottish Championship, the hill race, youth and athletic events, and traditional highland dancing such as the Sailor's Hornpipe, Highland Fling and reel, among other traditional dances; acknowledges the support and dedication of the team of volunteers who make the whole event possible; understands that the games attract visitors from all over the UK and around the world; appreciates the support of local businesses and sponsors, and wishes the games every success this year.
