  • Submitted by: David Torrance, Kirkcaldy, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 27 September 2023
  • Motion reference: S6M-10631

That the Parliament applauds the reopening of Kirkcaldy’s Adam Smith Theatre after an £8 million refurbishment; understands that the theatre, which was built in 1899, reopened on 23 September 2023 with two sold-out gala shows, following a three-year redevelopment; notes that the show, Lights On Grand Opening, celebrates all of the local groups that see the historic Kirkcaldy theatre as their home, and was compered by panto star and broadcaster, Grant Stott, and wishes the theatre all the best with its reopening and great success for all of its future endeavours.
