  • Submitted by: Annie Wells, Glasgow, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 30 August 2023
  • Motion reference: S6M-10245

That the Parliament congratulates the rugby charity, Wooden Spoon, on the launch of the country's first track setup that is aimed at users of a frame who have limited mobility; notes that the new hub in Scotstoun aims to change the lives of children with limited mobility; understands that the pioneering facility, funded by children's rugby charity, Wooden Spoon, will help young people with limited mobility to access frame equipment, become mobile, and foster independence through sport; further understands that the frame running equipment hub is a collaboration between Queen Margaret University (QMU), Neil's Wheel Charity, Frame Running Scotland and ACE Frame Running, along with Scottish Athletics and Scottish Disability Sport; believes that the launch of Scotland's first frame running hub is a testament to the unifying power of sports, and hopes that the transformative project paves the way for a more inclusive and accessible future for young individuals across Scotland.
