Braehead Primary School in Dumbarton Wins GWT Award

That the Parliament congratulates Braehead Primary on winning a national award for Evaluating Impact on Intergenerational Learning at the Generations Working Together (GWT) Conference, which was held at Strathclyde University in Glasgow; understands that primary seven pupils had been visiting the residents at Crosslet House care home for five years as part of the initiative, which originally began as a pen-pal scheme; further understands that the residents look forward to the regular visits, where the children work with residents on dementia-friendly activities to promote positive health and enhanced wellbeing, and wishes the school and care home every success for the future with this project.
