That the Parliament celebrates Allan Crow’s achievement of reaching 30 years of service as editor of various Fife-based newspapers; understands that Allan began in the newspaper business as a teenager with a Saturday job reporting on East of Scotland League football matches for the old pink newspaper, before moving to Ayrshire to work at the Cumnock Chronicle; further understands that Allan was offered the job of editor of the Glenrothes Gazette in January 1993, before moving to the Fife Free Press in Kirkcaldy; considers that Allan’s love and passion for his profession has made the Fife Free Press the enduring, high-quality newspaper that it is today, continuing to provide trustworthy local news in an ever-changing world dominated by digital media, and wishes Allan and the Fife Free Press all the best for the future.
