Aviva Building Wind Turbine to Support Operational Ambition of Net Zero by 2030

  • Submitted by: Jim Fairlie, Perthshire South and Kinross-shire, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 07 November 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-06613

That the Parliament congratulates Aviva on securing planning permission to build a wind turbine adjacent to its flagship Scottish office in Perth; understands that the turbine will generate annually, on average, as much electricity as consumed by almost 600 households; further understands that Aviva has already invested significantly to reduce electricity and gas consumption at the site through the installation of a solar carport, solar panels and a Smart building optimisation programme, and wishes Aviva luck on its ambitious mission to achieve net zero operations and supply chain by 2030.
