That the Parliament commends the Blue Door charity in Kirkwall, Orkney, on raising £19,216.55 for UNICEF's Ukraine appeal; understands that the Blue Door fundraised £9,828.23 on 6 March 2022 through activities such as a bottle stall, bake sale and face painting and has since raised this amount to £19,216.55 through a raffle with donations from a large number of Orkney businesses, groups and individuals; further understands that the money will be donated to UNICEF, which, it understands, is working tirelessly to help provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine's 7.5 million children and their families; understands that the Blue Door shop in Kirkwall is offered rent free to different Orkney-based groups, organisations and charities each week and has raised over £1.7 million for good causes since it was established in 2003; applauds the many local businesses and individuals who donated towards the Blue Door's raffle, and thanks the wider community in Orkney for what it sees as their outstanding generosity for Ukraine, with over £28,000 being fundraised since the war began.
