That the Parliament congratulates West Lothian Council on being awarded £167,707 from the Rural Tourism Infrastructure Fund to refurbish the toilet facilities at Beecraigs Country Park; notes that this includes increasing provision at Balvormie to include seven toilets, including one accessible toilet; further notes that a currently derelict building within the park will be refurbished to provide three new toilets, including one accessible toilet; understands that this will take pressure off the existing facilities at Beecraigs Visitors Centre and will mean that the park is better able to accommodate an increasing numbers of visitors; recognises what it sees as the importance of parks to the economy and wellbeing of rural areas, and welcomes this investment in one of West Lothian’s cherished outdoor spaces.
