That the Parliament notes with great sadness the passing of Robert Maxwell (Maxie) Hill, who was twice the Captain of the 1st Port Glasgow Company of the Boys’ Brigade (BB); recognises that Maxie was an ardent advocate of the BB, giving up his time willingly to shape the lives of so many boys over several decades; understands that Maxie will be missed by many in the BB and local community, including his former electoral ward in Port Glasgow where he was a local Councillor, and hopes that his commitment will inspire other men and boys to volunteer with the BB.
