That the Parliament congratulates Bishopbriggs Academy on being awarded the accolade of Scottish State Secondary School of the Decade in The Sunday Times Parent Power Schools Guide 2022; commends staff and pupils, past and present, for what it sees as their commitment to continual improvement in learning, teaching, and the development of life skills through extra-curricular activities; notes that Bishopbriggs Academy's historical placing was outside The Sunday Times Top 50 State Secondary Schools until 2011, and since then it has twice won overall School of the Year; pays tribute to the vision of former Head Teacher, Mr Gordon Moulsdale; delights that the school's highly-dedicated Depute Headteacher, Mr Ian Donaghey, was recently appointed as the new Head Teacher; applauds what it considers the strong links and impact that Bishopbriggs Academy has had in its local community; thanks parents and carers for their partnership-working with the school to help improve outcomes for all young people, irrespective of their background, support level, and career aspirations, and extends its very best wishes to the school leadership, wider staff team and pupils, recognising their continued enthusiasm in ensuring the best possible educational experience.
