That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Alloa charity, The Gate, is encouraging people into catering with The Gate Food Academy; understands that the charity is offering spaces for its Step Into Catering sessions, which are designed to offer skills and experience in this field and, with a duration of four weeks, will provide the basic knowledge required in food preparation and cooking to all who attend; notes that, by working alongside the local community chef, Michael Greer, those who attend will have the opportunity to learn about nutrition, kitchen procedures, menu planning and much more; applauds this excellent initiative, and commends everyone involved for their excellent work in providing education of, and experience in, quality catering, and for their tireless commitment to the community.
