That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen City Council on receiving an Outstanding Service award at the 10th annual Scottish Empty Homes Conference; understands that the Council’s Empty Homes Service Working Group received the Outstanding Empty Homes Service Award for exceptional partnership working, using a joined-up approach to target empty homes in the city, with a view to bringing them back into use; recognises the importance of identifying empty homes as part of a wider strategy to meet housing need, and welcomes the progress that has been made in Aberdeen to that end.
