That the Parliament congratulates the University of Glasgow on being named University of the Year 2020 by Times Higher Education; understands that the driving force behind this accolade was the University's work to redress its historic links to slavery through a significant programme of reparative justice; notes that it was the first UK university to recognise its own such links; acknowledges that this was achieved through research and commends the transparency of its findings; welcomes the reparative justice programme, which includes work with the University of the West Indies, and wishes all involved in this significant work continued success in assisting with the development of a fairer and equal society.
