That the Parliament congratulates Zara Flett, from Orkney, on being selected for the Scotland under-17s netball squad, which will compete at the Netball European Championships in Wales from the 6 to 8 March 2020; understands that Zara, who is a member of Orkney Netball Club, is one of 12 players who have been called up to the squad to face England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Switzerland in their bid to become champions of Europe; acknowledges that this is the second consecutive year that Zara will represent Scotland at this prestigious competition as the team look to build on its bronze medal position last year; congratulates Zara on this tremendous achievement, which is testament to her skill, hard work and commitment to her sport; pays tribute also to her coaches at Orkney Netball Club who have provided Zara with invaluable support over the years to help her to reach this impressive level; recognises that this provides further evidence of the real strength in depth of netball in Orkney, and wishes Zara and the rest of the young Thistles every success at the upcoming championships.
