Tracey Roan Wins Top NFU Award

That the Parliament congratulates the Dumfries and Galloway dairy farmer, Tracey Roan, on being awarded the joint National Farmers Union Scotland (NFUS) and NFU Mutual Ambassador Trophy at the NFUS conference dinner in Glasgow on 6 February 2020; notes that Tracey of the Dalbeattie-based Roan’s Dairy, was given the award for her work in establishing the D&G Women in Dairy Network, which provides meeting, training and social events for women involved in dairy throughout the region; acknowledges Tracey’s contribution to South Scotland, having served on the South Scotland Economic Partnership board, being a local NFU member and diversifying her business in a number of ways, including by creating the travelling milkshake “Udder Bar” with Aylett Roan; wishes Tracey every success for the future, and thanks her for her continued work both in South Scotland and for women in dairy.
