That the Parliament congratulates Murdo MacLeod, who is the empty homes officer at Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, on winning the outstanding individual category at the annual Howdens Scottish Empty Homes Champions of the Year Awards, which aim to "showcase exemplary contributions to the field of private sector empty homes work in Scotland”; notes that Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has the highest rate of vacant dwellings of any local authority area; acknowledges that Murdo brought 61 properties back into use in the Western Isles; commends him for his singlehanded efforts that outpaced initial expectations, and wishes Murdo all the best in his endeavours.
