That the Parliament celebrates the Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2019; notes that the annual ceremony, which recognises innovation, impact and success in social enterprise, took place in the Parliament on 12 November; congratulates all of the nominees and the winners; notes that these included The Shieling Project, which won the Environmental Social Enterprise category, The Spark, which was presented with the Social Impact award, Scotland’s Bravest Manufacturing Company, which was named as the One to Watch, and PwC, which was the winner of the Market Builder award; applauds Paul McColgan of Community Renewal Trust, on being named Social Enterprise Champion, and Community Food Initiatives North East on being named as the Social Enterprise of the Year; recognises the important contribution of social enterprise in building a fairer society and more inclusive economy, and commends Social Enterprise Scotland on a successful awards ceremony that celebrated businesses aiming to change the world for the better.
