That the Parliament congratulates the Peterhead film director, Jon S Baird, on winning BAFTA Scotland’s Director Fiction award; notes that this was in recognition of his film, Stan and Ollie, and recognises the significance of this award to the town of Peterhead, which is shortly to have a new cinema opening as a result of investment in the town centre by Arc Cinemas, giving the town a permanent cinema experience once again for the first time in more than 20 years.
