Orkney Distilleries Recognised at Great British Food Awards

That the Parliament congratulates Deerness Distillery and Orkney Gin Company on being recognised at the prestigious Great British Food Awards; acknowledges that the Great British Food Awards celebrate the finest homegrown produce across the country and are judged by renowned experts across the food and drink industry; understands that Deerness Distillery’s Sea Glass Gin was recognised as Britain’s Best Classic Gin by one of the country’s leading and respected chefs, Raymond Blanc OBE, and that Orkney Gin Company’s Rhubarb Old Tom gin was highly congratulated in the flavoured gin category; congratulates the staff at both distilleries on their hard work and outstanding efforts to achieve this level of recognition, and wishes both distilleries all the best for another successful year ahead.
