That the Parliament congratulates Kirkcaldy’s 5th Fife Scouts on being named Scottish Champions at the National Camping Competition 2019 at Meggernie; notes that this was achieved following its success in the Kirkcaldy District championship and qualification in the zonals; understands that the 5th competed alongside patrols from nine districts, with the 9th Aberdeen and 32nd Greenock districts taking second and third place respectively; acknowledges the benefits and positive impacts of Scouting to its members, volunteers and the wider community, which include encouraging outdoor activity, increasing confidence, encouraging self-sufficiency and equipping young people with valuable skills for life; commends the 5th's members Samuel and Anna Johnstone, Ruby Mackintosh, Kurtis Sneddon, Dale Restar and Kerr Allison on their success, and wishes them all the very best.
