That the Parliament congratulates Fletcher McInally, an aspiring young motorcycle star from Tullibody, who has collected a prestigious championship trophy and is due to rise from 125cc to 400cc class bikes at just age 14; acknowledges that Fletcher won the Melville Motorcycle Club’s Scottish Formula Melville 125 Championship in his inaugural first season on a full-sized bike, following a jump from Mini Motos; notes that, although finishing in fourth place in the final race of the September 2019 Championship weekend at East Fortune Race Circuit in East Lothian, the points were enough to keep him at the top of the leader board; further notes that this has allowed Fletcher, who runs with number 19, to secure his national racing licence, which means he no longer needs to wear the traditional orange vest that must be worn by racing novices; considers that the Lornshill Academy pupil’s motorcycle racing journey started when his sister Cadence won them both a Mini Moto each in a competition, but that, since then, she turned her interest to gymnastics and recently won a Gymnast of the Year award; is enthused that the young Clackmannanshire racing prodigy will be embarking on test runs at the Knockhill Circuit in Fife with his KTM RC 390 bike in preparation for next season, and wishes Fletcher, Cadence and the McInally family all the very best in their future endeavours.
