That the Parliament congratulates the participants of the first Loch Ryan open water swim, which took place during the Stranraer Oyster Festival on 14 September 2019; notes that the idea for the event was proposed by Councillor Ros Surtees, herself an open swimmer, and that swimmers swam one or two miles, leaving from Agnew Park Beach; notes that nine keen open water swimmers enthusiastically took part, and that a donation was collected for Alzheimer's Scotland; congratulates the organisers, and wishes all well for next year's open water swim.
