Irvine Girl Wins Place at Top Italian Festival

That the Parliament congratulates the Irvine teenager, Nicola Kelly, on winning a place on a prestigious international exchange programme to take part in Italy’s national dance festival, Torino Festival Danza; notes that 15-year-old Nicola, who trains at the Dance School of Scotland in Glasgow, is the youngest of 12 people from all over Scotland to be chosen; understands that she will host an Italian dance student in Scotland, where they will train with the Scottish ballet dancer, Sophie Lapan, before heading to Turin in Italy to train with the top choreographers, Egri Bianco and Viola Scaglioni; commends Nicola for her exceptional talent, and wishes her every success in the future.
