That the Parliament welcomes the launch of Scotland’s first nationwide art trail, Oor Wullie’s Big Bucket Trail, on 17 June 2019; understands that over 200 individually-painted Wullie statues will be placed across Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness for the next 11 weeks; commends the organisers, Wild in Art, which has teamed up with Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity and the ARCHIE Foundation, all of which will benefit from the trail in supporting children, young people and babies in hospital and in care; notes the support of the publisher, DC Thomson, which it believes ensures that this event could happen; understands that funds raised across the country will also go toward local children's hospitals; notes that, among the locations in Aberdeen, Wullie statues are at Duthie Park, Torry Battery, Nigg Bay Golf Club, the Wellington Road suspension bridge and across the city centre; encourages the public to participate in these trails, contribute to this good cause, and congratulates all organisers and stakeholders who helped make this event happen.
