That the Parliament commends Duncan Scott, who is from Alloa, on improving his own British 100m freestyle swimming record by winning the British title in 47.87 seconds in Tollcross, Glasgow; notes that Duncan's University of Stirling team-mate, Scott McLay, was second with a personal best of 49.05; acknowledges that, in 2018, Duncan won the European 200m freestyle gold at the same pool in addition to six medals at that year’s Commonwealth Games, and sends its congratulations and very best wishes to him ahead of the forthcoming world championships in South Korea.
