That the Parliament congratulates the Lennox Herald on launching a campaign to ensure that the legendary Scot, Robert the Bruce, is immortalised in West Dunbartonshire; notes that Dumbarton, the ancient capital of Strathclyde, is an area of historical significance for Robert the Bruce; understands that his story has been brought back into the public interest following the success of the Netflix film, Outlaw King; believes that immortalising Robert the Bruce in Dumbarton will help to develop the area’s tourism potential; recognises the efforts of Historic Environment Scotland, West Dunbartonshire Council and the Friends of Dumbarton Castle in promoting tourism in the area; believes that even more can be done; commends the Lennox Herald for its campaign, and wishes all involved the very best in their endeavours.
