That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen City Council and Muse Developments on winning the Regeneration Project of the Year category at the sixth annual Scottish Property Awards for their Marischal Square development in Aberdeen; understands that Marischal Square, which was named joint winner alongside West Dunbartonshire Council’s Hub West, was given the award as a result of its success in transforming the area, while generating positive economic and social impact; recognises that winners at the Scottish Property Awards were chosen by a panel of 21 leading commercial property experts from across Scotland, and that the Marischal Square project was also successful at the 2018 awards ceremony, where it was named Commercial Development of the Year, as well as being named Project of the Year 2018 by the Aberdeen Society of Architects and 2018 Regeneration Project of the Year by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors; acknowledges that Marischal Square is now home to a number of businesses and organisations, including NHS National Services Scotland, Aberdeen Journals, Royal Bank of Scotland, as well as a hotel and a number of bars, restaurants and cafes, and looks forward to the continued regeneration of this area and the rest of Aberdeen city centre.
