That the Parliament congratulates Western Isles-based writers, Liam Alastair Crouse and June Graham on the announcement from the Comhairle nan Leabhraichean and the Scottish Book Trust that they are both to receive the Gaelic New Writers Award (Duaisean nan Sgrìobhadairean Ùra) for 2019; understands that Liam’s poems have been published in various magazines and that June has had short-stories published online and in also in magazines also; commends them in following in the footsteps of the award's previous recipients who have already made valuable contributions to Gaelic literature, and wishes Liam and June continued success as part of Scotland’s flourishing literary sector.
