That the Parliament welcomes the news that seven more councils have given their backing to the British Heart Foundation campaign to teach CPR in secondary schools, following the lead of Aberdeen and Glasgow city councils in 2018; understands that Aberdeen City Council agreed to provide support from Aberdeen’s Common Good Fund for the British Heart Foundation’s bid for CPR to be taught in secondary school classrooms across the city, and looks forward to all local authorities in Scotland following their good example by signing up to the campaign, which will improve the chances of survival following a cardiac arrest outside hospital.
