Inverclyde to be Home to Scotland’s First Food and Drink Incubator Hub

That the Parliament congratulates Riverside Inverclyde (RI) on being awarded a £1.6 million design-and-build contact for its new Baker Street Food and Drink Enterprises site in Greenock; acknowledges that the construction is planned to start in autumn 2018 and completed during the summer of 2019; understands that the project site will contain six manufacturing units, which are designed to help small and medium-sized food and drink companies grow; recognises that RI will offer match-funding and a programme for business growth for its tenants; appreciates that the Scottish Government’s Regeneration Capital Grant Fund has contributed £900,000 for this project, which is to be Scotland’s first incubator hub of its kind; acknowledges the project’s contribution to growing the food and drink sector in Inverclyde and Scotland, and wishes RI and Baker Street Food and Drink Enterprises all the best for the future.
