That the Parliament congratulates the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum on it being ranked by TripAdvisor as the number 1 art museum in the UK; understands that the Kelvingrove, which opened in 1901, has 22 galleries covering diverse subjects including, art, nature, Ancient Egypt and Charles Rennie Mackintosh; acknowledges its programme of exhibitions and displays; believes that it remains a firm favourite with Glaswegians and visitors to the city, and considers this latest prestigious ranking to be a recognition of this.
