That the Parliament congratulates the staff and customers of the Avonside Inn in Avonbridge on raising £1,760 for the charity, Meadowbank Cars 4U, at a recent family fun-day, which included stalls, home baking and a bouncy castle; notes that the charity, which started in July 2016, provides journeys for cancer patients between the Meadowbank Health Centre in Polmont and hospital; acknowledges that it uses volunteer drivers, one of whom recently logged his 1,000th journey; considers that this work is important in supporting people at what can be a very challenging and uncertain time; commends the efforts of everyone at the Avonside Inn on raising money for this worthy cause, and wishes the charity every success in continuing to provide people in and around the Polmont area with this service.
